Nick’n’Tom’s Nine Hard Holes
Presented as part of Tutti Fruity
October 22 – 7.30pm
A queer themed putt-putt experience like no other, comes to the Sydney Museum. Sydney based performance and visual artists Nick Atkins and Tom Christophersen present ‘Nick ‘n Tom’s Nine Hard Holes’, a fantastical amalgamation of queer theatre and… golf. A hilarious look at the challenges faced by queer kids in 2013, ‘Nick ‘n Tom’s Nine Hard Holes’ premiers at Jurassic Lounge and Mardi Gras’ ‘Tutti Fruity’ queer culture night. A handmade landscape of 9 putt putt challenges and a whole bunch of astro turf await perspective punters and did we mention that there is a performer manning each hole? That’s right. Putt and deal with a hysterical Mum, who sobs alone at a dining room table set for 4, or Bridezilla – who needs you to make a freakin’ decision about what colour the table cloths for the reception need to be RIGHT NOW DAMMIT! 9 brilliant performers who will be there to help or maybe (probably) hijack your putting experience.
Following a string of projects manned by the artists’, Nick Atkins and Tom Christophersen create installation and performance based creative experiences. ‘Nine Hard Holes’ will feature 9 performers and a constructivist cardboard playground. Delicious. Mini pencil’s provided.
